The Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse and
Museum
is a National Historic Landmark located just
south
of Daytona Beach, in beautiful Ponce Inlet,
Florida.
We have been to visit this lovely lighthouse many times. It is one of my favorite places to viisit any time I go to Daytona.
According to their website "Francis Hopkinson Smith, a noted writer and engineer, designed the lighthouse, and it was declared by lighthouse inspectors to be "the most beautiful and best proportioned tower in the district."
Below are some of the many photos I have taken of the lighthouse that I hope you enjoy viewing! You can click on the thumbnail images to view the large images
Here's a replica of a Captain's uniform and an actual Cuban life raft.
The first picture is ballast recovered from a shipwreck.
The Second shot is an actual lantern from the grounds.
I hope you've enjoyed my pictures of the Lighthouse. If you really like something, click on the email below to let me know!
I'll be adding more pics as soon as I get the chance to have them scanned in.
