Anna Maria Title Bar

Anna Maria Island, Florida is our favorite spot to go to the beach. Old Florida charm is the essence of this seven mile stretch of pristine living with every location literally a walk or bike ride away. The entire island is surrounded by exceptional water views with glimpses of bottlenose dolphins, manatees as well as nesting areas for the endangered loggerhead turtles along the shore.

Charming family stores and breakfast cafes are housed in quaint Florida cottages as well as “one” unobtrusive shopping center. Inspired by natural beauty, many artists reside in the area where the fruits of their efforts can be found in nearby galleries.

Below are some of the many photos I have taken at the beach that I hope you enjoy viewing!  You can click on the thumbnail images to view the large images

My brother, Shane, caught these little crabs.  Of course being the nature lovers that we are, we turned them loose after photographing them.

Here are two more shots of bigger crabs.

This is the crab catcher. LOL.
