Anna Maria Island, Florida is our favorite spot to go to the beach. Old Florida charm is the essence of this seven mile stretch of pristine living with every location literally a walk or bike ride away. The entire island is surrounded by exceptional water views with glimpses of bottlenose dolphins, manatees as well as nesting areas for the endangered loggerhead turtles along the shore.

Charming family stores and breakfast cafes are housed in quaint Florida cottages as well as “one” unobtrusive shopping center. Inspired by natural beauty, many artists reside in the area where the fruits of their efforts can be found in nearby galleries.

This little bird just posed so nicely.  Look at those bright yellow feet! 

You can always get great shots of some Great Blue Heron.  The second one looks like he's dancing in the waves.

A couple of guys from Canada were catching these sand sharks right off the pier!
