Anna Maria Island, Florida is our favorite spot to go to the beach. Old Florida charm is the essence of this seven mile stretch of pristine living with every location literally a walk or bike ride away. The entire island is surrounded by exceptional water views with glimpses of bottlenose dolphins, manatees as well as nesting areas for the endangered loggerhead turtles along the shore. Charming family stores and breakfast cafes are housed in quaint Florida cottages as well as “one” unobtrusive shopping center. Inspired by natural beauty, many artists reside in the area where the fruits of their efforts can be found in nearby galleries. Below are some of the many photos I have taken at the beach that I hope you enjoy viewing! You can click on the thumbnail images to view the large images
The first picture is of my children, Breanna and Mason, and my brother, Shane, in front of the sign telling about the history of the Pier. The second picture is of Shane and his daddy, Herman, in front of the pier. They came from California to spend about six weeks with me in Florida before I moved to Illinois. Here are two great shots of the pier. I especially love the second one! This is one of the quaint little restaurants on the Island. In the second shot, you can see a sailboat off in the distance.
Here's a picture of one of the many sandbars that appear when the tide goes out. The second shot is of the sun reflecting off the gulf waters.
I hope you've enjoyed by Anna Maria pictures. Here's a few links to Anna Maria websites:
